A guy in Midsomer Norton built one of these van on a Lotus Esprit chassis wheel base and track was ideal so did not need widening. Very nice it was too, did not go like that though.

fitting an old 30s style body to a modern hipo engine and chassis and you have to ask why!
are you sure you know which forum your logged onto? LOL.
the improvement in sound is almost worth the effort on its own and if thats the builder driving he gets my respect for having the confidence to give it the berries with all those stone walls about!.
leave the runoff areas for the F1 wimps.
