My Dodge d100 383 is being cooled by two 10" 4 blade fans, which are not very efficent. Would i be better running one large fan or replacing the two with modern 10" like for like? Ken

Are you running a shroud with the only area available for the air to flow is through the fans or are they just stuck to the matrix? They are much more efficient when shrouded.

Yes both fans have a small shrould and are mounted to bodywork not to radiator.

my b300 camper used to run electric fans, loads of problems so ended up going back to engine driven fan and original fan shroud, hey presto no overheating issues. if you do want to stay electric id look at using something like this Derale 26" Dual High-Output, Electric Radiator Fan-and-Shroud Assembly - 4,000 CFM Derale Radiator Fans D16927
