...installing Teflon valve stem seals? Getting these friggin' tight little bastards on without damaging anything must be the worst job in the world! Does anyone do this for a living? Do you enjoy it?

I only had to do four of 'em this time (V-twin motor) but that stupid little plastic guide thing was just about knackered by the second valve, and a progressively worsening nightmare for the last two. I remember doing a pair of smallblock Chevy heads years ago and I know then that I had resorted to Sellotape to guide the seal over the valve collet groove within a couple of valves. :mad:

This should probably be in the Rants forum, but just to keep it in here, why do the suppliers/manufacturers only put one of the guides in a pack, however many seals are in the kit? And can you buy just the guides anywhere?
