Robert, the pad on this bolts to a conventional spring pad on the axle, and forms the rear end of a 4 bar setup. The offside bracket sees additional load as I applied some extra tension to the top bar. Unknown but serious extra grunt this year was the last straw, and once the first gusset started to fail, they all did in quick succession. The remedy is to extend the gussets the full length of the pad I think. The reason for attaching the 4 bar in this way is that the body is uncut and I could revert to a leaf spring set up.
