I'm in need of some 4 wheel transport sooner or later and ideally after an older (90's maybe) diesel van or similar.

I'm hoping to find a small van of some sort. Escort, Caddy etc etc. Love Escort vans, bloody indestructible as long as they're serviced.

After an honest little van and obviously something tidy and fully maintained. Apart from a daily and parts chaser I'd be using it doing detailing work on the weekends, so needs to be on the button.

Idea is to have a tidy little van, maybe lowered a tad on some half decent retro rims of the time.

I'm not after a builders van that's done 100's of K's or anything rusty and bombed out but I haven't got a fortune to spend.

Worth a shout so WHY?

Cheers Dan:tup:

Dan, there's a few on ebay, some good ones turn up, I was looking for one myself recently. You'll get a nice one with no rust and decent mileage, maybe a 2000 model for between 750 and 950.

Thanks Jimmy, I do like MK3/4 Escort vans and had a few from new in my time working for Autoglass. Gave everyone one of them death from day one and NEVER had an issue with any of them. Not a bad size to work out of and they seem to be a good buy right now and quite a few about which is suprising. Few mods and I've got a daily, something to work from and also crash out in at shows. I've just purchased a nice small bike trailer and also a camping trailer which an Escort will be happy towing either of them. I wish I could have an older larger van as I do love them but I just don't have that kind of money or room to keep it garaged.

OMG I've just realised...........I'm turning into a Vanner:shock:
