I've had a similar problem wth my '64 Galaxie, 390 w/Holley & Edelbrock manifold. Starts fine from cold but after a run & leaving it for a short time it won't start until properly cooled down. I've looked on a few Ford forums & the general consensus seems to be fuel evaporation due to the stuff they put into modern gas which makes it more prone to vapourise. I've not properly addressed this issue yet, but last time I looked at the motor when hot the see thru' fuel filter looked to be dry, it was resting against the block so I moved it away to allow a bit more air flow. The forum posts did suggest an auxiliary electric fuel pump mounted near the tank to push cool gas through, which now worries me as you say your car has already got one!

I'd go with coil as well, check your petrol line isn't too close to anthing that could cause vapourisation as well.
Does your battery crank fine when the car is warmed up. I say this because I had the same hot start problem and it turned out to be the battery plates.
check your coil to start with

If your still running points it could be the condenser breaking down when it gets hot, that or coil as suggested.
