Went to Hastings for a couple of days, and while walking around the old town
saw this in the flower shop window.

Quick chat to Chris the owner of the flower shop, he said that he was going to restore it but it was too rusty. Said that he had a 63 olds as well.

Many of you will know Chris as Five Star Ford, who used to be in the Old Kent Road 20 odd years ago. He moved to Hastings after we took our local paper up to him as he said he fancied moving down here.
Eventuallly, after living in Hastings for quite a few years, he moved three houses up from us. We have spent many an hour in each others garages!
He has the convertible Oldsmobile along with a white MK111 Zephyr.
He threaten to make the rear end of the MK111 into a settee. There is also a jukebox in the shop.
We have quite a car culture here in Hastings. The 1066 Diner meet started up last month, so hopefully that will grow.
It is also good fun cruising up and down the seafront on a sunny day.
I hope you will be coming back to visit us again?!

Where/what is the 1066 Diner and when do you get there?

1066 Diner is at John's Cross on the A21 just north of Hastings and before Robertsbridge. It is on the last Saturday of the month. It started last month and should build to be a very good meet. There were around 60 cars last month. If it takes off then beer and live bands are on the cards.
