Another option is a magnetic base... I have a high-intensity light for the Shedster (with a tiny car and no lights it makes sense to have something for when it's pouring down on the motorway to stop the trucks running right over you...) and I mounted it on a CB aerial base (cheap off ebay), and keep it under the seat. Couple wires to a double pin connector, and a couple wired into the car, and all I do is stick it on the back and plug it in. Been a potential lifesaver with all the torrential downpours we've driven through this year......:tup:
