This whole debacle is essentially one of timing; if the path of democracy had been followed, (rather than the pro Europeans throwing every spanner in the snap-on catalogue into the works) Brexit would have happened at least 2 years earlier, now as it is those with an agenda can claim that this mess is all due to Brexit, whereas the pandemic has undoubtedly affected supply (and demand) but to what extent who can say; if one good thing could come of this it would be that the Chinese govt were held accountable for this shit fest, and sanctions would be placed effectively stopping the majority of their cheap crap reaching these shores.
We are still in Europe (Geographically speaking we couldn't be anywhere else) there are many countries in Europe not in the Eu, and trade with them is unaffected by Brexit.
If leaving the EU has allowed this country to jump ahead in the covid vaccinations, (and in so doing save thousands of lives) who could claim that to be a bad thing.

The problem behind it all is that the EU were used as scapegoats for everything that was wrong. You tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.

We as a country will still be handed rules we must implement . However instead of coming from the EU they will come from UNECE ( who are also in charge of the EU ).

I love the unelected debate..

Every fucker there is elected.
From Wikipedia -
The Commissioners are proposed by the Council of the European Union, on the basis of suggestions made by the national governments, and then appointed by the European Council after the approval of the European Parliament.

Not elected as such, appointed.
Corrupt.

But the national government's are elected. So the people who vote for the governments in their country should look properly at what the are voting in becuase the candidates to eu Parliament are in there as well.

So.. They are elected, even if secondary. Its not their problem the plebe only looks at the main candidate they vote for and not all the rest.
