I need to find a Ford 8 inch rear axle to instal in my Matford woodie. I'm dropping in a 2.0L Pinto lump so I'm told I don't need a 9 inch axle as the 8inch jobbie should be more than adequate, providing I can find one this suide of The Pond.

They do come up occasionally but are getting hard to find, I would have thought an axle from something like a Capri would be easier to find and be cheaper as well.

I have a Ford 8" Mustang rear end in my Stude which is being changed out shortly for an 8.8, it's 3.5 open diff. It's been changed to Chevy 4 3/4 PCD which makes it quite specific although for someone who wants to fit uprated/shorter shafts it doesn't matter.
