With talk on this forum about the high cost to exhibitors showing their cars at some commercial shows if you look there are plenty of shows to go to, WE JUST NEED TO INVADE THEM with rods/customs ! we go to Cranleigh near Guildford every year, run by the lions club, you just book on line, print off your ticket, all free, its a good size show with autojumble as well, there is a show at Manningtree next weekend its not only free but if you prebook they give you a free tea or coffee !

Classic Car Show & Autojumble Sunday 17th August 2014 9.30am to 4:30pm :: Cranleigh & District Lions Club, Cranleigh, Surrey UK

The Manningtree Vehicle Show - The Revival

PS- The Cranleigh show is near Dunsfold where Wheelsday was held this year

Charnwood Cruisers have just done their second free Father day car show in the market place in Loughborough, a great turnout again and relaxed friendly show with live music and music with DJ from 10am till 4pm. We are already being pestered to put a show on for next year Fathers day even bigger. These shows seem to be getting more popular with the attendees and the public as they can not only have a good look at the vehicles but also have a wonder round the shops and have a chill out in one of the many café and restaurants.
It seems the mixture of Classic Custom Hot rods race cars etc. is popular with us as well as normal public.

I don't think people except them to be free just in this day and age value for money,I think related traders should not have to pay to show as they help to bring the public in and could then afford to give show discounts, If the shows need to cover loss of these free traders, then put price of the unrelated traders to show.
