How is the pipe fitted into the tank
does it just push in ?
looks like there is no clip or anything
to hold it in !

Don't know about the 57 but if it's any help my 55 one just pulls out.There is a bracket half way up the neck which is bolted on.

Probably the same as there is a bracket a little way up the pipe :tup:

If you're planning on changing the seal check the American Tri Chevy forums first. I think there has been a little quality control problem on some of the replacement seals.

Its not leaking at the moment but,
I am changing the rear spring shackles and you have to move the pipe out of the way.

The pipe that goes into the tank has a 'O' ring to seal it, manage to get mine from the stores at work, but you could try R & R who do tri chevy stuff.
