First ever was Adam Faith, was at Sarfend for the day as a kid, and he was on the pier, my mum got his autograph with her eyebrow pencil on a Senior Service box, that'll tell you how long ago it was, so we went to see him that night at the Cliffs pavilion..must've been 63 0r 4,
Then The Beatles at hammersmith odeon, xmas 64,couldn't hear a thing for the screaming....
and then, in no particular order....
Stones (maybe half a dozen times)
Who
Faces (loads of times)
Rod Stewart ( ditto)
Hendrix and everyone else who was at the Isle of Wight that year, who pale into insignificance...
Beach Boys
ZZ top
Genesis
Phil Collins
Mike and the Mechanics
Peter Gabriel
Jethro Tull
Golden Earring (fell asleep at the rainbow, must've been very tired...)
Bowie (several times, sadly the latter ones a travesty)
Bad Co
Rory Gallagher
Clapton (every year at the albert hall for years)
The carpenters (!!)
Neil Diamond (!!!!!!!:shake:)
Jackson Browne (one of the best)
The Boss (in 75 and every tour since until I moved to this cultural oasis)
Squeeze
REM
Live Aid, anyone else there ??
Dire Straits
Kirsty McColl (what a fuckin tragedy, she was brilliant)
Screamin Lord Sutch
Kate Bush (yes please)
Micheal Jackson (for the kids.....that doesn't sound right does it?)( I mean't I took my kids......that doesn't sound right either.......fuck it forget that one)
Bananarama (ditto)
Jason fuckin Donovan (ditto, don't anyone ever tell me I was a bad dad after I remebered these two)
Kylie (ostensibly for the kids, think I got away with that one......)
and, obviously loads more that escape me for now....
And the one I regret most not seeing..................?
Dusty:sniff:
