My Daughter has been going on about having a tatoo done. This will be her first and wants it on her lower back so do you have any recomendations for a good artist in the Ashford Kent area ? and if you have a recomendation if they have a web site link that would be a great help

Viking I hope you fine a good clean one..
But my advice would be as a Dad to try and talk her out of it
They are a Fashion thing for girl I'm afraid
Ask her if she would like to wear the cloths she got on today for the rest of her life you know the answer is going to be no. The same goes for tattoos

My Wife worked at Maidstone Hospital for a lot of years and she lost count how many young girls were coming in tears trying to have Tattoos removed

Good Luck

My take is that if it is what your daughter wants and not just a five minute wonder then that's fine. I'm in the same position and would not try and stop mine but just guide her. I'm hardly a good example...
What I think is wrong is when I've seen people come into a shop and just ask for a tattoo: 'What do you want?' ' I don't know really, I'll have a look round the shop'' and invariably they end up with a piece of flash that has taken a few minutes to choose. Try and steer her away from a boyfriends name as well....getting it lasered off further down the road does smart somewhat!
Your daughter needs to be comfortable with the artist and their work and she needs to be sure of what she wants. You need to be comfortable with your daughter's health so make sure you pick a quality shop for her.
Talk to Rebecca and you can be sure of a high quality healthy job from somebody with a strong car/bike background.

Thanks for your reply steve Its not that all of a sudden she wants a tatoo as she has been on about it for 2 years now and still has not had it done. She does know what she wants but her being a chicken has got in the way of having it done so maybe with a bit of luck it will never happen. But as you say if it does I will make sure it is done in a clean well respected place
