With the recent demise of Pontiac how about remembering them at their best with a few pictures of some of the great cars they produced.

Here's mine and one I wish were mine. You can probably guess which is which.

Yep big shame. I have a fondness for the Marque.

My pic of mine is in my Readers Rides section, but I don't know how to post em.

Haven't got any spares Firebrewed have you ?

An American friend once told me PONTIAC stood for 'poor old n**ger think's it's a cadillac' and G M C was 'got a mecanic coming' and we all know about FORD............

Very sad to see a once great marque sink into oblivion but in recent years they had lost their way like much of the American auto industry . Pontiac who once built muscle cars like the GTO and Firebird under the banner " we build excitment!" ended up making dull middle market offerings. OF course government regulation, a fuel price crisis and now a harsh recession are all part of the problem...:sniff:

My first yank was a 68 Firebird 400 and have owned several ( this before I discovered Mopars ) since . A sad thing for sure

and the 54 I used to road trip down the esat coast.
