so the question is has anyone stuck disc brakes on on mk3 Cortina or atlas axle as I might have killed a drum so might stick some on
did that work ok gary? you seem to have floating calipers with non flexi brake pipesbin the drums etc, cut out the piece of backplate thats bolts to axle ends where the 4 bolts are, slip on a pair of Fiesta discs, then make up caliper brackets, quite an easy job to do actually.
heres a 105e with Mercedes 190e discs, and half shafts converted to 5 stud I did a few years ago, same principle though.
that sorts that then, must admit iv never had that much trouble bleeding them, iv fitted granada calipers with rover disc's on a 105 axle for the consul capri, with the ford discs you need to turn the face down on the shaft which didn't leave much meat by the studs,That was only to check that it worked Steve, as the new Scorpio/Cossy calipers are a pain to bleed from new.
