Here's some typical online pub fare for you.
What newspaper headlines can you remember from down the years that you recall as being Funny/Poignant/Whatever.......
One of my favourites came from the Super Soaraway Sun (natch) way back in '79,and concerned a court case at the Old Bailey, featuring the Liberal party leader, the Right Hon Jeremy Thorpe M.P. and a former male model named Norman Scott.Briefly, and for those too young to remember it,the case centred around Thorpe, who was accused and eventually acquitted of conspriacy to murder his alleged former lover Scott. The whole affair proved to be an outrage at the time, and from which alas,Thorpe's career never recovered, and so perhaps inevitably, one morning as the preceedings were reaching their climax, the headline that was splashed across the whole of the front page was...SCOTT OF THE ARSE ANTICS.......priceless.
