Hi Streetbopper.

The best place to check is on Stovebolt.com

If it is the original style bourden tube then it will have an odd thread. Its definitely not 1/8 NPT as they are quite small and I know it not an NPT, UNC or UNF thread.

I think I read somewhere it is a 3/8 gas flare fitting. Its some kind of old school thread.

I had loads of problems trying to get an adapter for the fitting when I swapped for a 235 engine.

I think the best answer is to re-tap the head to a larger, more common thread.

Tap out to 5/8 NPT or 1/2 NPT. And get a suitable adapter for the new temp sender.

Chris.
