I still get a thrill every time I drive this, but sadly, it has to go, have no work, need the money and the space and ULEZ is coming to my road this year.
It is correctly registered, says "Hotrod" on the logbook and was inspected by DVLA Borehamwood under the old system.
Engine is a crate 350 with only a couple of thousand miles from new.
6-71 Blower built by Nigeria Jenkins UK Blowers currently running 5psi.
2 X Edelbrock Enforcer carbs.
Msd6al and boost retard.
TH400 built by Alders with high stall converter.
8.8 Ford rear axle with 3.23 gears (if I remember correctly) fitted by Hauser.
Chromed dropped I beam with stainless hairpins, lots of chrome and polished stainless on steering 4 bar panhard etc.
Bonkers large headlights, Lucas P100 fitted with modern projector units.
Everything was new when built and many parts supplied by the late Steve Lang.
Drives great, has hidden cut outs on the headers, 3 bolts each side to undo as you arrive at the show.
Many say it looks better fenderless although I've always kept the cycle fenders (covered with tyre treads) on when on the road.
3 electric windows.
I built it for me, not to sell, but some may not like the left foot braking, I've always been happy with it.
Only issues are:
Drops trans fluid, never found the leak, never had to top it up, so just keep a bit of cardboard under it in the garage.
Kickdown needs reconnecting, its just a simple switch off the throttle pedal, but its so torquey to drive I never bothered.
Paint is not perfect, has various stonechips, I've been enjoying driving it.
