I would like to take the black plastic mouldings off and fit something else
I'm thinking of a 30mm wide,1550long by 5mm thick strip of aluminium at the bottom but with some lines milled into it similar to pic. The sides and top would then be similar material but thinner which would then be painted body colour, along with door tops
Any other suggestions would be most welcome
Thanks
Ian

i'm assuming you mean the black trim round the rear side glass of your phantom 2 door estate? why can't you sand and paint the plastic if you want them to be body colour. it'd be very expensive to have aluminium strips cut and milled. then to paint them body colour not polish them kind of defeats the object of getting them made in metal. i'd definately paint the plastic trim first, you may be happy with the results and save a lot of money.

If you search online for something like "truck bodies" you should be able to find someone who supplies the aluminium extrusions used for vans, trucks, etc., or maybe just someone local to you who could point you in the right direction.
