Im considering importing a car from the states have not decided exactly what yet but will probably be a late 50's pick up.
can anybpdy give me some usefull advice or recomend any shippers etc they have had experience of ?

I used Specialised Shipping. Peter was so helpful and it all went smoothly, apart from the two week delay due to a sub-contractor...

5% vat no duties if eng/trans susp are unmodified does,nt matter what the year is car or truck i,ve had at least one container arrive every month have three on the water right now & two leaving on friday since the new ruling went into place no problems i used kingstown shipping for over 20 yrs now use hill shipping both are very good but kevin at hill is far more on the ball when it comes to the new 5% rule give him a call 01795876000 mention my name good luck with it RAY in sf

I totally agree with Ray, Kingstown Shipping Ltd ship Cars, Motorcycles & Boats USA UK USA Imports & Exports handled the shipping on my Roadrunner this year. I am not easy to please when it comes to agents but their service was perfect.

I also used specialised shipping when i imported my 66 Mustang, They were good ! As a general rule, if you pay for example $ 8000 for a vehicle in the states, it will cost you £ 8000 by the time you have

the car at your home ! ( Roughly ) after duties etc are paid. :tup:
