The track looks real wide with the cortina's n mini's till you see the galaxy's on it

And i agree living just down the road from it, it is a shame its no loger there i do reconise a couple bits of the track tho :tup:

Christ i hope that chap in the Mini was ok. That was a bad sort of accident hitting the barrier like that. :tdown:

Mind you watching that camaro floor it in the second video to try and catch the escort and watching the dust fly is awesome

And to think i wasnt even born then :shock:

Not quite Non Championship F1 on the full circuit, but S&DMCC nare announced that thet have got the funding together to start running their sprinnt events tere again from next year.
I went to a couple of the previous ones and they were a very interesting day out.
Got some photos somewhere...

Martin Birranne's Mustang started last in that video & finished 3rd.(or 4th can't remember ) In part 1 you can see that the marshalls are holding it on the grid. That car actually ended up in the Welsh valleys as a sprint car, until someone realised that it was originally a works Trans Am car. It was then shipped out to the US & restored to it's former glory.
That Camaro is still racing today, albeit minus the extended arches & slicks. Robing Gray, who was driving an Escort in the clip, who was over taken is the same Robin Gray that owns/runs Autopontiac in Hounslow. He too is still racing, but now in a late '70's Trans Am hthg :tup:cheers.....Nige
