I have just been watching the "For the Love of Cars" Triumph Stag program, and it was said that 25% of all Triumph Stags are still on the road.
With the best will in the world (and I think most of us love them just a tiny bit) the Stag was not the best built car and had limited appeal "in the day" but a 25% survival rate is amazing.

There is a place in my heart for the two Stags I have owned, both were trouble free and a great family classic, can't say I helped the survival rate as sadly I wrote one of mine off by testing the roll bar........ which worked thank fully !

There was a brilliant mistake in the program where they showed an old film of the engine production line,,,,,making Rover V8s!
(Triumph probably destroyed all the footage of a bunch of cowboys and housewives chucking their engines together any old how)
