hi,was looking at a jago built coupe on sale ,but was wondering how easy (legal) is it to buy a jago jeep ,for instance ,and build a hotrod on it/from it ?
as they already come with a v5c what can i change ,i know you cant radically alter the chassis but how much can you add/subtract ? any advise, past experience would be greatly apprieciated thank you ?????????:D

The simple answer is that it is extremely unlikely that you would get any 'normal' rod style body to fit a 'Jago Jeep ' chassis .
The amount of components you can add or subtact is covered by DVLA's 8 points system but the chassis must remain unaltered.

8 points system here :-

Chassis mod clarification here :-

The Macpherson strut front would rule out any open front style motor plus the short wheelbase would create issues.
If you are thinking of creating a rod by rebodying any kit car you would be better looking to the Lotus 7 style replicas with seperate chassis.
