I'd of thought it would run ok. My 220 kennedy will run full chat on a 13amp 3 pin plug!
I'm going to say that's because they have a better transformer and windings, but if anything electric that's not meant to be hardwired is sold in the Uk without a 3 pin plug it needs at least a 16a socket.

you could try blowing the welder out with a air line , I've had my tig 12 years and could not believe how much crap i blow out with the air line - did not take the cover off just blew it through where the fan goes.

also a word of warning NEVER USE A 6MM BOLT IN A PLUG--- the end off 6.5 mm drill bit works much better!! :whistle:

And gaffer tape the trip switch to stop it dropping out :beuj:

gaffer tape is also good for holding the spark arrestors open on propane bottles when you are cutting up scrap in a field!!!!!
