i bought a mk2 consul not long ago its part done, its fairly standard, but got a pinto mounted to the original 3 speed column change box, there is a clutch arm coming out of the bell housing, and the original peddle box still in place, but somehow it needs to work a cable so the clutch works, i've seen consuls with original peddle box and pinto in them, whats the best way to get a cable to work the clutch??

order a wilwood hydraulic slave cylinder. they are a 'pull' cylinder not push like most clutch slave's. make a simple bracket under the engine mounting to hang to 'rod end' off of and extent the m8 stud the other end to go through the hole in the bellhousing where the cable normally goes. you can adjust the free play at the clutch arm. we've done this setup a few times on crossflow and pintos and it gives a nice light clutch with good feel.
