Fibreglass Model A pickup.

Vehicle is on the road (mot until Nov' '22) but is a stalled project.
It is in need of fibreglass work all over & a windscreen cut & fitted but is useable as is.
Running a 1600cc pinto as all running gear is from the original base vehicle MkV Cortina.
Registered as Model A Pick up on 1981 plate with a DVLA issued chassis number.

New bits;
rewired (using a kit)
headlamps
front shocks
front brake discs & pads
rear suspension poly bushes
battery
starter motor

Tyres all have good tread & are fitted to Nissan Almera space saver steel wheels (hubs redrilled to 4 1/2" pcd).

This could be a good winter project for someone who can fibreglass.
Price now £7,500 (see post further down).

PM me with any questions or to arrange a viewing (located just east of Southampton).
Thanks for looking
Doug.

Thanks Kev'.

I've not been able to see the classifieds but seem to have found a way in (See reply in Chat section).
It's rather frustrating.

I don't wish to sound off'ish but why ask Kev instead of me?

Not mentioned on the v5c so I'm guessing it is transferable.

If you read kevs post the clue is in the wording.with all the registration problems recently and what Kev knows in his position he could be saying that it is correctly registered and could be a bargain for someone needing a v5 for some reason but a lot of people prefer a non dating number plate so the transferable registration could be a bonus.

As I said, I didn't want to be 'off' towards you as I hoped the post was intended to
be as you've explained.:)
Hence I took it as a fair question & posted the image of the relevant part of the v5c
(if I'd thought of it I would have mentioned it in the ad', so thanks for asking it)

Cheers,
Doug

The number is both transferable to something else but also a cover plate can be applied to make it dateless.

A couple of bits I should have mentioned in the ad';

Wiper motor fitted & wired up
Interior heater (old Mini style) fitted & working
This April (2022) it should be eligible for free road tax
I bought a 4M² fibreglass kit (mat, resin & catalyst) that is included.

I took it for a drive today, steering's fine & brakes are good but it was reluctant to pull away without
giving it a fair bit of throttle & I'm not sure if the 4 speed gearbox is all that great (could do with a 5 speed anyway I would think).
I really don't want to spend time on it so I'll drop the price to allow for this.

Price now £7,500.

Thanks
Doug
