Should be at the supernats, would have been done but had a little wobble doc said tai so stopped me driving so not going
my mates still going will speak to him tonight see if he would pick the ally strips up for you

Don't forget to mount it low when you put it back together. I remember ( back in the day) all the cover plates fitted used to make the bonnet end sit up . Helped a mate with a Mk3 Exec cut out and replate an old repair so his would shut correctly:(

yep, had to do that with my last mk3

If it sites high its because its to let hot air out the rear as on a beetle hood lol
that side has always been high thats how I found the rot all the edge is full of braise ,have a repair panel but not sure what car it was modled on not a mk3
