Don't forget to mount it low when you put it back together. I remember ( back in the day) all the cover plates fitted used to make the bonnet end sit up . Helped a mate with a Mk3 Exec cut out and replate an old repair so his would shut correctly

If it sites high its because its to let hot air out the rear as on a beetle hood lol
that side has always been high thats how I found the rot all the edge is full of braise ,have a repair panel but not sure what car it was modled on not a mk3
