Hi again folks, what is the best way to go about painting over chrome? I wish to paint my windscreen and rear window surroumd etc. I,ve seen so many cars were the paint has started to peel off, probably due to bad prep? Cheers. Alan
I did my bumpers last year and all good so far.
Good scuff up with 320 grit etc, degrease, etch prime.
Then used paint from these guys and it went on swell. Specialist Paints | Custom Aerosol Cans
Base coat, colour then their quality 2k lacquer.
I think the quality of the top paint you use is crucial too.
The 2k lacquer is rock hard, so probably helps keep it all on. :tup:
Cheapo rattle cans are destined to easily mark/scratch off
