I have decided to freshen up the pontiac and put some graphics down the side. I've painted and striped where I want to and showed a friend (who does a bit of bodywork himself). He said 'how are you now going to laquer that then? It needs to be done within 24 hours of base coat'. is this right and if so what have I got to do now? There's no way I can paint all the graphics etc and clearcoat in 24 hours.

Hi Gary, 24hrs is stretching it, we like to get clearcoat on within 8hrs of base application, simple answer is you have to shoot a single coat of clear over each graphic application, once cured, flat/scotch, and apply next graphic in the same fashion, etc etc, then flat/scotch, and final clearcoat the whole job, Bry
