Tried to id this servo via the numbers on it, but to no avail. It is Ford and I THINK it might be fiesta. I need to know as I'd like to overhaul it before it goes on the car!

Does it have a bore size marked on the side Chaz ? Looking to me like a 25.4 bore Escort ?

nothing on the side to give me a bore size. On the ally the number 76660169 L29 is stamped.

Just looked on flea-bay. this looks nothing like a Fiesta servo!! Escort of some sort is looking close!

but i thought that it was a sealed unit and you can't get bits for it

are you sure you don't mean the master cylinder
Sorry, yes, but I assumed that if I knew what the what the servo was off, I could get a rebuild kit for the master cylinder.

If it's Mk 4 Escort it probably won't suit your application anyway :( They have to be mounted at an angle ( look at the reservoir top) to be able to bleed and work correctly.

Let's go the other way, what brakes are on the car and what diameter servo can you get in there ?

Cheers Kev......i see what you mean! Just been down to the garage to check it.....:shake:

I bought this, unseen, as a Fiesta servo. Which would be fine. Small, compact and capable. Any mileage in changing the reservoir?
