It was a fantastic car, ( probably still is), but waaaaaay to much cash. Why did someone remove the Mustang rear lights as well, they were kinda the defining feature of it.

£4k difference if painted ? That's expensive 'superficial' damage ?

Very nice car ..in its day.

Looks like someone made it their own with what looks like mk3 Escort rear lights and lowered it

And id guess we all would try and change things to make it our own  and it is a lovly shade of blue

Not that keen on the notion of slagging a car for sale myself. Originally it was on e-bay, now on our classifieds.
So we are looking at a 20k car. Would the negative comments be so prevalent if it was something other than a Mk1 Capri?
If the engine was built by ICE and has the dyno output we are talking serious dosh. The chrome Jag rear appears to be good, again serious dosh. Body and interior (explained damage excepted) looks to be good.
If the spec is as good as the ad suggests, then to the right buyer it is worth every penny. Even ignoring its status as a piece of British hot rod history. If It wasn't, this thread wouldn't even have started.

I'm with 40stude on this one. Why all the negative comments? The guy selling is going to offer it at the top end of the price range knowing it will drop. Dont think the fact that it's a capri is a downer. One of the wilder cars at Hayling last week was a capri.

Now about this Renault Scenic with the nodding dog for 10 grand. What breed of dog are we actually talking about.

Or

This car has had a few ride hight changes over the years--some time after when it first came out and after the SM feature the car was raised alot more alround (High rider hight) then some time later in its life was lowered again to how it is now.
I liked this car so much as a teen i made a model based on it-out of a Esci MK2 Escort-ive still got it in a box part way through a re-build i had started many many years ago.

PS...This capri used to run at North Weald cant remember the times but it was quick.
