Ok I'm a perpetual car tart and whilst I adore and (i really mean that) my porker, I cant help but think there's plenty more out there for me to try/play with, though I suspect I'll come right back to a 911 within a few years, (i really do love it..)
Ok she's a Guards red 3.0 SC coupe, thought by many to be the ultimate everyday 911, as it's classic enough to feel special, and is still an 'old school 911' but reliable and economical enough to be used everyday, with a good heater and all the mod cons. She has a full black leather interior, full new MOT, a smidge of tax but can tax again to make a deal happen, or will be taxed again when the current one runs out (2 months I think).
Leccy windows / sun roof, remote central locking alarm immobiliser, and Blaupunkt (what else!) CD changer with ipod in..
Full sport pack with factory quickshift fitted, original tea tray rear spoiler and front airdam, very rare optional LSD fitted and she works well, original fuchs forged alloy wheels with good tyres all round, she's got stainless SSI's, heat exchangers and a meaty Dansk sports exhaust sounds great..
The paintwork is good but obviously original as is the interior, it's all nicely used and 'worn in' rather than new or knackered...
She's lowered on the front, done properly with the geometry correction kit and steering rack conversion (£££) so turns in beautifully..
Recent discs pads and callipers all round, stops superbly, The engine uses almost no oil (now I've learnt how to top it up properly) and starts, runs and pulls very well indeed following a thorough tune up and valve clearance job..
The only real negative is the gearbox, all the gears are fine, and I've done literally thousands of proper miles in it with no change in noise but she does has a bit of a whine at speed on the motorway, a bit of a rattle when at idle out of gear, and first gear syncro is very tired, that said in all honesty I'd drive her anywhere, it worried me at first (i am a worrier!) but it's had many hard launches, and hundreds of miles of being driven like a proper sports car and it sounds exactly like when I bought it, I've been up to Yorkshire in it, down through the west country and round a few tracks and it's all good! I was going to do it over the winter and still will if I keep it, but that's just for peace of mine as I trust it completely..
Oh yeah a badger took out my front spots, everything sorted now but the spots I ordered never turned up, some will be fitted before any deal is done..
Swaps...
Well, I'd like a big barge again, preferably lairy and V8 but try me, I'm hugely eclectic in my car tastes, and would be just as interested in a pre-war saloon as a late model sportscar.. (though I really don't like auto's unless there is no choice..)
Things I like:
Most US based rods and customs, Bentley Turbo R, old Roller, Jensen Interceptor, Rover P4, TR4/5/6, Corvette C3, Mustangs, Volvo Amazon 123GT, Scimitars, anything vintage, Citroen DS /early CX, Sierra cosseh, TVR Cerbera, Trans-AM/Firebird/Camaro, big Yank cruiser 50's 60's or early 70's verts a big plus, large 60's Mercs, large 60's jag esp a series 1 XJ6 swb MOD S type, or Daimler mk2 250, or a nice XJS.. BMW 635 2002, nue classe ect, Mazda RX7 Honda NSX, Datsun 240/260...ect ect, you get the idea as long as it's interesting I'm probably interested, no dross!
It's a long shot but I have a BIG yearning for a 603 Tatra....
Cash either way, would deal with several cheaper cars, would quite like a nice sized family powerboat...
£8250 ono all offers deals considered!
