thanks in advance for any answers, I have always thought that to check the fluid level the engine should be running and warm, how ever after reading up it seems that you should get engine warm turn off then dip?? then some say you should put in drive ? HELP :?:

If the engine is not running nor is the pump in the transmission so it will read high. Engine on, in park and dip. Cold bottom mark, hot top mark. Simples
