my first attempt at car rodding and its taking for ever

Well it's shit loads of work but at least the panels are available. That's a nice jigsaw you got there, just keep pecking away at it and you'll finish it eventually.Good luck:tup:

well i got the car offof Ebay years ago for £27 i think i was ripped off !!!!

then got it home and started the year re build with a couple of choice parts mbg front clip (with ford 4 stud fit i converted it to coil over and made it 4" wider

then started the tiny job of cutting and welding

burnt out my old grinder had to get new one

screwed cill panels together offerd them up then striped them back preped them weld through primed them and spot welded together

best tool in the world

decided to cut front off

good opp for a clean out

i should of kept pushing and got a toyota

purchased a fibre glass front end

started the mod on a jag XJ12 power lock rear

made bottom tube arm dont know if it will work but had a go anyway and started the chassis link tubes

had the drive shafts shortened in coventry at Dav Mac prop shafts nice!!!!!

converted stud pattern to ford 4 stud

going to fit LPG tank over rear axle this one is for a space model also made my own petrol tanks and pressure tested it

changed fuel receiver thing with a neg earth mini one and added a couple of extra lights to clock

got a v 8 rover for my sins you can get more power from 4 bangers but they just dont have that sound the 8 gives you

chopped rear end out

fitted rear valance

working on petrol/gas flap

just workin on other stuff like decorating at the min but i am going to smash on this winter
block up engine front and rear suspension and make a plane on the chassis :tup:

I'm also a fan of Minor's, great work keep the pictures coming, MGB front end mods neat, did you make the new 'A' arms ? seen very similar one's on MGB sites for coilover conversion.

rick 57, yes made them from scratch jigs and all, copied the hoyle conversion, had a mess in the garage today, the missus went out unfortunatly took the camera too started the chasses block up front end engine, gearbox and rear end it will take some time before i start cutting steel though :tdown:
