I think the bags are the same as the bags on my 5 series BMW estate, you can get E39 bags from Euro Car parts for about £100, but you would need the BMW fittings, which are available overnight

The valve blocks work in a very strange way, it uses 6 valves IIRC, and you need the driver for the solenoids as they aren't just a straightforward 12v feed. It's all in an odd manifold that sorts it out. You can do it though as a lad I share a unit with has done it on his land rover, but he doesn't have the control you would expect, because of the way it works through 6 valves. You have to select which corner you want to adjust, then you can select feed/deflate. But you can't operate more than one at a time.
