If the original chassis is going and you're building a new one, why not make it a little longer and get the engine in the bay without cutting the bulk head. Just need to make the bonnet and sides longer.

this is low budget build.stretching costs wonga.

started this properly yesterday.

got rear narrowed.jeez there fidley things to take apart

rover engine is here for it,plus a manual box.

cut out the bit of the axle where the shock were mounted so i could sleeve it the full lenght.

undecided how ill remount the single coil over yet.

prob just a simple bracket of the back,

axle is 1200 hub face to hub face.took 360mm out of overall width from stock.could prob have gone another 10mm wider each side at the rear.

ill wait till later in the build to put it through its travel, for clearances.


can always add a small spacer as hub studs need to be changed anyway to longer ones
