3mm plate is 23 kg per square meter.

cant lift a 2x1m sheet on my own.

the main rails on this are 80 x 40 x 3mm and the rest of the plated stuff is done to the same dimentions so it weighs the same as box section.

used 3mm through out with a bit 0f 4mm for odd bits where bolts go through

hi ross
machines a chinese jobbie though it was cheap and has loads of dies.
its ok but runs out a bit ,so you have to roll whatever youre doing for about half the radius then turn the tube round and run it the other way.
it pulls it back straight then.

still quicker than the manual rollers.

not really needed to do any tight curves yet.

did machine a set of dies out so i can put 80x40 through it .can just get enough curve to match the original chassis without sqashing the rails to much

the rear crossmember is plate not rolled box

thanks.you dont need a lot of dosh for my work.
hazard a good guess that im one of the cheapest builders around.

luckily i dont seek neither fame or fortune so my rates will stay low

having lobbed of the original rear shock mounts its now having a single coil over.
this is the lower mount
