Don't know if anyone out there can recommend a good contact to carry out some mod work on my 57 Bel Air?

The kind of work is things like bespoke exhausts, pas conversion, front suspension mods / rework, sway bars all that sort of thing..

Car has 402 fitted so maybe not as straight forward as bolt on/off?

Based in Rayleigh, Essex, would like to go to someone based on personal recommendation who knows these cars and whats available for them (my knowledge is limited not having had it for very long).

Any help greatly appreciated..

If you call "Customville (http://www.customville.co.uk/)" and ask for Pauls number (he used to have a workshop behind the old customville shop) he's worked on just about everything over the years. Only used him twice to build diffs but was good for me.
Plenty of trichevy owners on here to help advise on the mods, I'm assuming you've already found the fountain of all knowledge, Chevytalk?

As far as custom exhausts go Pipecraft are excellent. Have had 3 systems from them over the years on different cars and they all lasted well and were good value in my opinion ,can't recommend a mechanic though...

If you want a Tri Chevy specialist why not try Tim Bowman at The Gasser cave. He's in Hampshire but only half hour from West London. Quality work at fair rates and he understands the product.

This is a good site for info as recomended by Steve Foreman. Went to Pipecraft today they do stainless if you want. Dont seem to have stainless mufflers in stock only cherry bomb style. Try Dannys Chevys he might know some one local he is in Hawkwell not far to go. Good luck.

If its stainless mufflers you want - try Burtons on the Eastern Avenue ay Ilford - they are suppliers of Jexex mufflers. These are available in mild or stainless steel in various case sizes suitable for tubing up to 3 1/2" diameter. I have used a set for the last 8 years - nice 'old school' sound.
