Hi all,

I'm after a new set of ford 260c.i. pistons and rings. Standard bore at the moment but a few scores (4 broken rings!) so probably 30 thou over would be fine.

Also after something like 20 thou over on the big ends and 10 thou over on the mains (or similar). W.H.Y?

Also, does anyone have any left over gasket sets, new oil pump, timing gear, sbf to c4 bellhousing, flex plate, starter etc? In fact, interested in anything really!

I do believe that a lot of the stuff apart from pistons crosses over to standard 289/302!?

Thanks guys,

Marc

I think the engine will bore to 4.040. If so I have set of +40 289 pistons. The stroke is the same at 2.87 so the block should be the same....

Hi, thanks for your offer, i have been told that i cannot go to 289+ as different liners, although i do agree, the block is the same as the 289.

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Marc, Just us a call on any ford parts, you will not be disappointed. Dick 07545 915517
Thanks for that, if nothing comes of it then maybe the other option would be to go for another engine and c4 gearbox? Maybe someone out there has a 289/302 etc that they have removed from a vehicle? I just need a reasonable motor to start this thing off with really!

Thanks for everyones suggestions so far.

I would go for the AOD gearbox, good ratios and big overdrive cruising gear!
