As above title renewed head gaskets, after renewing timing gears and chain, starts a.o.k but pumped water out like billy o my ford book said 3 stage torque to 70 ft lbs which I did the gasket manufacturer says up to 80 lbs ft cannot see any head ,block, piston, bore damage, also they say to seal the bolts which I did not do (ready for the abuse) so if I do all that with new gaskets should it be o.k? any tips advice more than welcome cheers mickmatt

You need to keep going round the inlet bolts until none of them move. And when I say keep going round, I mean keep going round!!! My mate has a small block ford in his motor, and in the end I think he went round them about 8 or 9 times so he could be absolutely sure that none of the inlet bolts moved.
