Chevrolet Small block engine and TH350 gearbox

Bought as part of a project, and now changed my plans on the engine and box I'll be using, so now they are now surplus to requirements.

Iron block casting number: 3970010

Engine Vin Number: V1111CHC

Having not taken the motor part to work out the capacity, I found the following information on the internet:

Casting number Displacement Years Used Main Cap Notes

3970010 302 1969 4 Z-28 Camaro

3970010 327 1969 2 Trucks

3970010 350 1969-1980 2 or 4

VIN Decode

CHC 307 1973 Chevelle

CHC 350 1975 Corvette Manual

CHC 350 1976 Corvette Manual

CHC 350 1980 Full Size Auto

Therefore a 3970010 CHC block must be a 350 c.i. motor, may be either 2 or 4 bolt, and if originally fitted with an auto then it's most likely of 1980 manufacture.

Has following:

Stock Iron heads and valve train

New parts: Aluminium Air cleaner; Edelebrock Carburettor; Edelebrock Performer 2101 Aluminium inlet manifold; Chrome thermostat housing; HEI Distributer; Red Silicon Taylor plug leads; Aluminium valve covers and breathers; Billet dip stick; Water pump; Billet pulleys; Chromed 1 wire alternator; fuel pump, 168 tooth flex plate.

Comes with TH350 gearbox of unknown condition, gearbox comes with torque converter and kick down cable.

Engine starts well hot or cold, and can be seen running by appointment.

I am keeping the starter motor, power steering pump and headers.

Buyer collects from near Preston, Lancashire
