Looks like some ball bearing they found on the ground is slowing things down, as they're trying to work out what it is.

yep that was the last launch ever of the shuttle :eek:

I watched it from 160 miles away, it's still quite a spectacle.
I've been watching them for a long time but that's it, no more.

Back in my BFGoodrich days, BFG made the tyres for the Shuttle and they produced a poster with the Suttle about one foot from the ground and all it said was "From here on in it's all down to BFGoodrich" it's hard to beat advertising like that!

We saw some weird rainbow colored cloud formations over Southern Calif.It was due to the launch in Florida 3000m away so I was told.
