does any one have or know where i can buy a Spigot bearing for ford V6 3 ltr automatic.

autos dont have one. the convertor locates straight in the end of the crank.

the torque converter has a 21mm dia end and the cranshaft hole is 35mm dia
so the torque converter is un supported, the engine the auto box came from has a spigot bearing giving just over 21mm dia hole in the crankshaft , the trouble is i can not get it out, Or is it case that a manual engine can not be converted to an auto? please advise.

Yup, you can convert a manual to an auto, have you still got the auto engine lying around???

If so, pack the spigot bearing with grease and find a socket that will fit inside the hole, then tap the socket, it 'should' force out the bearing...

My Essex was a manual, it's now an auto, I think I got the spigot from the Capri Clinic, or somewhere similar, they normally take them out and 'loose' them, so you may get lucky...

Thanks the B*stard will not move it's a solid bush rather than a bearing i have a spigot puller sliding hammer tool and i can move the engine block around the garage when trying to remove the bush, I tried the grease and hammer trick worked fine on getting the spigot out of the manual just wont shiff the auto one.

I think I paid a fiver for mine, Capri Spares or something, down Kent way...???

Easier to buy one???

I haven't kept the receipt so I can't be sure, sorry...
