Chris I remember you doing this, when taking out the front springs does the a/r bar have to come off? Anyone got any thoughts. Looking to get the springs out without a compressor, did this on a Humber x-member but can't remember anything about the a/r bar.

I can't get a socket onto the nuts for the bar. Guess if it doesn't come off it'll hold up the a-arm too much to whip the spring out? Reluctant to try on the bolt alone in case I can't get it back together, if it does come out.
cheers

hi bill,

jack up put on axle stand, then jack up under wishbone and remove shock absorber.
undo anti-roll bar bolts on bottom wishbone. theres no pressure on this and goes back on real easy.(you could cut through nuts/bolts)
undo bottom ball joint, split joint then hold out of way.(still with jack under wishbone)
then slowly lower jack thus releasing spring. you may have to push down on wishbone to get spring out.

hope this helps.

cheers chris.
