Not that simple unfortunately. Rack has to fulfil lots of measurements directly related to suspension positioning to work and not turn it into a mishandling pile.

Do you want it to work with an original beam or a custom / oem IFS set up?

IF the rack mounts to the front of wheels then any modern front wheel drive car will have a suitable ish rack-but as stated it depends on many other things-but some of the smaller super minis may be a good start.

There is an intersection point that the inner ball joints must be the exact width or you'll get bumpsteer. Most simply make the rack the width of the inner TCA mounts and then run them parallel with the track control arms, not quite right but works on a drag strip .

Its for a tube chassis car with coilover struts and the steering rack is to go infront of the front wheels rather than behind. Ive heard fiat might do it ! If you can let me know the measurements as soon as you can that would be great !

MK 1 or 2 escorts normally work but this is left hand drive so makes it difficult.

Welded on ? Frightening ? have a word with Wayne, he should be able to sort a narrow rack for you.

I would suggest u set it up using only one side of the rack (side with steering coloumn) that way you can move the rack around checking for bump steer. once you have the rack in the right place and no bump steer over the full suspension travel you can then sort out how much your rack needs shortening, I used a Vauxhall Chevette rack (has steel inner and outer so easy to shorten) on mine had to remove 90mm from the inner and 60mm from the outer. over the full supension travel I ended up with only 1.2mm of steering angle change. It is well worth doing as BUMP STEER is bloody horrible.
