They were big ass bombs, we had to use the winch to get them on the truck.
We left them round Ray Young's lovely green '57, god knows how they moved them. Funnily no one woke up, 4 pi55ed up Tri Chevy Club guys unloading bombs right next to tents.
When I think back our next mission after the bombing run was to tow one of them old Jet Fighters into the camp. Earlier in the day we had looked at them and on the front undercarriage it said 'Tow Here'. Latter, much latter through the haze of Brandy it seemed the obvious thing to do.
I remember that security were getting wise to us and we were driving without lights when we hit the WWII Air Raid Shelter, twice!!!!!!
Steve has got some brilliant photos.
Thanks for the photos Steve, brilliant. Ive copied this post over from the main one we were getting a bit mixed up. Nothing new there then!
