Hi I'm looking for some advice . I have a 2.3 v6 cologne which am currently running on a 2.8i Capri gearbox and rear axle and I'm thinking of slinging a rover v8 in as parts r like rocking horse s#it to get hold of for the cologne. Could someone tell what's the best rover v8 and will it fit the Capri running gear ?
many thanks
Biggy

P.s it's going into my ford prefect see my pics if ya like

i run an 3.5 V8 SDi rover in my rod, with the rover box..........and love it, around town changes up nice and early for easy cruising, but when u floor it, it really hangs on to the gears, easy to tickle, holly on top fits lovely

2.9 V6 from a Scorpio will bolt straight up to everything you already have, and gives the same power as a stock carbed Rover.
A 24valve Cosworth V6 from a top spec Scorpio will also bolt up(although it will kill 2.8i gearboxes quickly) and give an easy, torquey 200hp. It's quite wide across the heads, but then so is a Rover.

Both will be quicker, easier and cheaper than fitting a Rover. With a bit of thought, the 2.9 could be done in an afternoon.
