Well , just thought i would start my new thread on here with a big hello to all.
There is a reason that i have been quiet for a while which is unusual for me but i have not seen my escort for a month or so as it is with a mate of mine, in his workshop to be precise getting its new paint.
We did a deal a while ago in that i built him a roll cage and he done mine, i have yet to see it but he phoned today to say that i can pick it up saturday, so hopefully there will be some pictures on here then .......................oh yeah it is vey purple..............which is great cause i'm colour blind................so it could even be in a different colour and i would not know...................:tumbleweed::tumbleweed:

mad sheet metal?:tup: it looks normal to me:D,this is the one that was on the nsra site thats not allowed to be under new rules, which is fine cause we have here now and i will post one picture on there because i know a couple more were watching:whistle:but let this be our secret:rolleyes:

here we go,the hubs have the original disc mounting machined off, there is an 18mm spacer that put the caliper further from the wheel as the clip on the caliper was just hitting the wheel, the hubs were then redrilled and threaded enabling the disc to be bolted from the back using 1/2 unf bolts,i know this will be more than strong enough but i found my self drillig 4 more holes and tapping the spacer so i can use 8 in total 1/2" bolts to hold the discs on, just got to go and buy the right size socket head bolts now as i know this now works

cheers ,single exhaust is abit marmite, just going to shorten it a bit,it is single all the way from behind the dizzy ,it just made it easier to get the car low to the ground with a bit of decent clearance also it will fool people when they see the 1300 l badge on the back:shocked:

a little progress update on the morris, having got e's gasser out today for test drive and with him being well pleased with the new driving postion and steering rack it was time to move the oxford into pole postion.
My original plan to use the 1800 has now gone out the window and this is mainly due to E putting a bigger spanner in my plan you see, E bought the rover pop then we went out and bought a 305 tpi for it , then without me knowing he went out and bought a zz corve3tte 345hp motor for it, well, I was offered the 305 tpi to carry out the 350 conversion ,spit on hands done deal , he then goes out and buys the gasser and sells the rover pop, ah !
E says engine and box is mine if i do the bits to the gasser . so now the oxford is going 305 tpi / 4 speed auto, plans eh!
